MY STORY

My Journey

From Nyamitaba Village to becoming a voice for millions of displaced people worldwide

From Peaceful Village to Refugee Camp

Born in Nyamitaba Village in the Kivu region of Democratic Republic of Congo, I grew up in a close-knit community rich in diversity and unity. At age 10, conflict forced my family into a refugee camp where I spent over two decades.

Building Hope Through Education

Inspired by my father Rusine's legacy of kindness and community service, I dedicated my life to empowering others. Through Engineers4Humanity, we established Hope School in 2009, transforming hundreds of young lives.

From Refugee to #1 Bestselling Author

After resettlement in Texas, I became a civil engineer and project manager. My book "Breaking Boundaries" shares not just my story, but the story of an entire marginalized community - the Congolese Tutsi group called Rwandophone.

My Mission

Building bridges of hope, empowerment, and sustainable peace

My Christian faith is the cornerstone of my beliefs and philanthropy activism. Through Engineers4Humanity, we live by the principle: "Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."
